About High Gear Consulting, Inc.

The owner of High Gear Consulting, Inc. is Thomas J. Liebeskind. He has been working or consulting in the Information Technology field since 1993. He began his professional career in the Navy as a submariner, completing his electronics and electrical schools at the top of his class. After the Navy, he worked as an electrician. Fascinated with the developing computer technology field, he began studying mainframe operations and graduated at the top of his technical class. After mastering mainframes, he began exploring PC and network technology and has never looked back. He began working for consulting firms in 1996 and progressively worked his way up to senior consulting work, including complex clustering and Active Directory solutions. He holds certifications as an MCSE, CNA, Compaq® ASE, and Cisco® CCNA. He worked for Deloitte Consulting, configuring server solutions and assisting in the design of data centers. Also at Deloitte, he supported server solutions for Siebel and SAP. Frequently, he was requested as the exclusive consultant for his clients at his previous firms. In addition, he has developed and won bids for work against such industry giants as Dell®, IBM® and EMC2®. Mr. Liebeskind's solutions for NSI Double-Take software integration with Microsoft Exchange have been selected by NSI for use in their knowledge base data resource center.

Mr. Liebeskind began High Gear Consulting, Inc. out of his belief that there needs to be a fundamental change in the consulting business. He believes that consultants need to get their clients' networks running "in high gear"; meaning efficiently, quickly and without extraneous solutions. He believes that solutions that will not work in the best way possible for the client should not be sold. Also, he believes that the personnel who sell solutions should know how to implement them; your sales team is your engineering team. He takes a personal interest in the work that is performed and believes strongly in building business relationships and partnerships with all clients, large or small, and regardless of industry.
