The most important thing to internal clients (users of a company's network) is the perceived speed of the network. The performance of a server and its associated network is a direct reflection on an organization's ability to support its users.
In the case of a suburban retirement community, network assessment meant performance enhancement of a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 to function optimally. The organization was attempting to use a third party server application and was having numerous issues with processor and memory utilization.
